How do I order my test kit?

Ordering a test is easy.  Kits can be ordered by selecting the appropriate test using the online ordering system, or by contacting Smart Nutrition directly on 01273 775480.

How do I know I have the right test for what I need?

If after reading the individual test information pages and you are still unsure of which test kit to order then Please do email or call us directly on 01273 775480 and we will be happy to help

What Happens after I’ve ordered?

Once ordered, the kits are despatched to you by first class post; you supply the samples and return them directly to the Laboratory.

What kind of samples will the test kits need?

Some kits are easy to do at home such as the Saliva, Urine and stool tests but some require a blood sample and will need the assistance of your GP/practice nurse, local laboratory or hospital or if you are based in London you could visit one of the Phlebotomy centres

How will I know how to do the test?

All test kits come with complete instructions. There is a very small list of requirements/instructions on this website but please ensure that you read in full the instructions that come with your test kit. Please follow these carefully as failure to carry out the test according to the instructions may result in the sample being rejected and a delay in receiving results.

How and when should I post my test kit back?

Postal requirements vary with each test and are clearly marked on the test kit instructions; however we strongly advise all samples are posted by next day delivery to arrive on a week day, friday at the latest as the laboratory is closed over weekends.

Please make sure that all paperwork is fully completed, all tops and containers are screwed tightly on and that you only use the containers that you are provided with. In addition your name and date of birth and date of the test all need to go on all containers.

One of the laboratories that I am associated with offer a courier service for the additional cost of £12 and will collect your samples. Should you wish to take up this offer please pay the courier service/Laboratory and not Smart Nutrition

How long do my results take to arrive?

The turnaround time stated on the individual test information pages lets you know how long it will take for results to arrive

How will my results arrive?

The results will be posted to you as soon as we receive them from the laboratory or if you have requested they are emailed they will be sent as soon as they are received. If you have ordered multiple test they will be posted out collectively unless you request otherwise.

How will I understand the results of my test?

We strongly recommend that you have a full consultation to go over your test results to make sure that you fully understand them although you are under no obligation to do this. Should you choose to go ahead with this option Smart Nutrition can create a personal nutrition plan for you that takes into account your own individual needs based on your current diet, lifestyle, goals and test results.
