Urinary Health

The urinary system produces urine as a way of  removing unwanted waste from  the body.

The bladder and kidneys form part of the urinary system along with the urethra and penis in men. The average adult produces around 3 litres of urine in 24 hours – but of course this depends on circumstances such as how much you drink or if you have been exercising and sweating heavily.

Urine is produced from urea which is produced when foods containing protein, such as meat, poultry, and certain vegetables, are broken down in the body.
