How to order a test?
Please click on the buy now button and complete the form at checkout – you will be asked to include the name of the person the test is for and their date of birth amongst other questions.

Can I speak to someone before I order a test as I am not sure which test to order?
We would be happy to help you choose the correct test for you. You can call or email us so that we can help.

How to pay for a test?
Depending on which lab processes your samples depends on whether you would pay us or the labs directly. If paying the lab out checkout will show £0.00 – but don’t worry your order will be processed as normal. You will be able to pay the lab when sending back your samples

How is testing done?
You will be able to collect most of the samples at home but some test do require a blood sample taking – this is clearly shown on the information about each individual test.

Is testing done remotely or in person?
You will need to collect the samples and send them back to the lab where they are processed.

Do you send tests to my country?
We can send out to many places around the world however when samples need to be returned overnight and this isn’t possible then we wouldn’t recommend you buying the test. Please do enquire if you would like to know if we can send to your country and you don’t see it on the checkout list. Please email admin@smartnutrition.co.uk

I accidentally ordered more tests than I need, what do I do?
Please email admin@smartnutrition.co.uk straight away so that we can amend your order. Our T&C’s require tests to be used within a 6 month window and we can’t refund after this time.

Will my health insurance cover me?
That really depends on your policy – Please have a read of this and see what you are covered for.

Are you registered with my health insurance?
At the moment – June 2023, we are not registered with any insurance companies but hope to add this in the near future.

I want to buy 2 tests/ I want to order for several members of my family, can I get a discount?
Sadly we can’t offer this as the labs set the process for the majority of the tests.

Can I order a test from you but have it reviewed by a different doctor?
Absolutely – we actually encourage you to work with a practitioner or doctor, although we offer support we are happy for you to work with someone else

I haven’t received my test kit. Has it been sent?
Test kits are sent out as soon as possible. If it has been more than 7 working days since you placed your order then please get in touch.

My test kit is now out of date. How do I get a new test kit?
Test kits should be used within 6 months of receipt of the test kit as stated in our terms and conditions. If you have not had your test kit for 6 months then please do get in touch.

How do I get my bloods drawn?
Please check the ‘where can I arrange to get my blood draw“ area on the website. You will find a list of places you can visit to get your blood sample taken along with some links to people that can visit you at home to take the blood sample.

How do I return my test?
This is test specific and the information is on each individual test page. It will advise if the sample needs to be returned by an overnight courier or if it can be returned by first class post.

How will I receive my test results?
All test results will be emailed or will be available in our portal which we will send you a link to.

When will I get my results?
The turnaround time of the tests is on each individual test page.

Test result accuracy
The majority of our labs are CQC – Care Quality Commission – compliant – CQC are the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. The Care Quality Commission monitors, inspects and regulates laboratories and health care settings. You can read more about the CQC here https://www.cqc.org.uk/ . Some of our labs are based in America and comply with their state regulatory bodies standards.

Will I be able to understand my test results?
We aim to comment on all the test results and welcome questions should anything not be clear. We have interpretation guides, which are sent out with comments with your results for most of our tests results including the GI Effects, GI MAP, GI360, SIBO, Food Intolerance, AIBA, Rhythm, DUTCH, Female Ecologix and  Oral Ecologix and we are building on this.  
We also offer an in depth service via our clinic website http://ibsandsiboclinics.co.uk/  A consultation allows us to listen to your history and find out about any medication and health concerns you have. We can then create a personal plan for you.

Please do not return samples to the laboratories that may arrive after Wednesday 27th March and up to and including Monday 2nd April.

The laboratories are closed from the 28th March – 2nd April for the Easter Holiday.
