The Candida, Yeast and Sensitivity Test Microbiology Profile is used to find out if you have an overgrowth of yeast including candida. It includes a sensitivity panel that shows which natural or pharmaceutical agents are effective against any yeasts reported.

Candida is a yeast that is part of our digestive flora. In some individuals the natural balance of the gut is disrupted, leading to an overgrowth of candida.

Toxic byproducts released by yeast can set off a multitude of both subtle and overt symptoms. These range from headaches, fatigue, and inability to concentrate, to low sex drive, recurrent vaginitis, skin irritations, and even failing vision as well as the following:

  • Foggy head
  • Mood swings
  • Bloating
  • Fungal infections
  • Diarrhoea
  • Constipation
  • Excess wind
  • Aching joints, heavy muscles
  • Recurrent thrush
  • Decreased libido
  • Bladder infections
  • Menstrual complaints
  • Chronic stress
  • Chronic sinus problems

Overgrowth of candida albicans can be signified by a large number of skin problems. In fact, some experts estimate that 15% of patients with candida overgrowth have some type of skin problem such as
