With the MycoTOX Test we can identify mycotoxin (mould and toxins) exposures and make recommendations for detoxification treatments that have been shown to be effective.
The DetoxiGenomic Profile checks for genetic variations that can affect a patient’s ability to remove toxins efficiently and effectively so that imbalances can be corrected.

The liver is the main organ of detoxification of both environmental toxins and toxins created by the body by the day to day business of being alive. When toxins arrive at the liver, they need to be processed in a few steps and down a variety of different pathways which rely on certain nutrients to be present and certain enzymes to work correctly. Small slips ups in genetic code called SNP’s – single nucleotide polymorphisms – can interfere with the way one or more of these pathways can work.
The DetoxiGenomic Profile checks for genetic variations that can affect a patient’s ability to remove toxins efficiently and effectively. If present, they impair certain pathways, leaving an individual with an increased risk of impaired capacity for detoxification capacity, as well as susceptible to potential to adverse drug reactions.
At Smart Nutrition we pride ourselves in offering the best cost possible for the DetoxiGenomic Profile.
All samples for Genetic testing are completely destroyed after 1 month.
The DetoxiGenomic Profile evaluates both phase 1 and phase 2 of the detoxification process.
Phase I is the first line of defence in the detoxification of all environmental toxins, including pesticides, herbicides, pollutants and solvents, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, as well as many of the body’s own waste products (including steroid hormones).
Phase II is the conjugation – the toxin joins together with a harmless but helpful substance ready for its safe elimination.
Phase 1
Phase 2
Buccal (cheek) swab.
All samples for Genetic testing are completely destroyed after 1 month.
The buccal swab is designed to collect some loose cells in your mouth. Brush your teeth as usual the night before the test, and do not eat any food after you have brushed your teeth. Upon awakening on the day of collection, do not brush your teeth, eat or drink anything prior to the sample collection.
See instructions inside test kit for details.
This test is suitable for all ages.
Please return via a next day service Monday – Thursday only. A courier option is sent with your test kit. You pay the laboratory directly for this test and the return courier if you choose to use this service. You can also make your own arrangements for returning your samples via a next day service.
Your test results for the DetoxiGenomic Profile will be emailed to you.
All sample reports are for representational and educational purposes only. Biomarkers, references ranges, results, and all other data may differ from actual reports. All data included in no way represents an actual patient. Any comparisons of results to actual patients is completely incidental.

Oxidative stress underlies and contributes to many common chronic diseases and degenerative processes. The Oxidative Stress Urine test can highlight dietary and lifestyle changes you may need to make to stall oxidative damage.
Test your methylation genes and support any areas that are compromised.
This test looks at metabolites produced by yeast and bacteria, with elevated levels indicating yeast or bacterial dysbiosis.
The OAT Organic Acids Test includes 75 organic acids to give a metabolic snapshot of overall health, methylation, gut microbiome, oxalates, neurotransmitters, toxicity, nutrient status and much more.
The NutrEval test is the most comprehensive health MOT available. It identifies nutritional deficiencies and insufficiencies for over 125 markers and provides personalised recommendations for each.
Please do not return samples to the laboratories that may arrive after Wednesday 27th March and up to and including Monday 2nd April.
